Please know, that like all email performances you are being watched. I truly mean no harm.

Held in bcc is an audience watching us in this light.

To the audience selected in bcc, some of you may be familiar to this, others entirely new. Again I truly mean no harm. Feel free to tell me to leave you alone.

This email performance is an instruction to the list of artist friends, performers in the To field, who have said yes to a live performance of paper waits

To the Performers,

Pease, please, please know, that despite this public light of electronic message, that you are in no way beholden to the task that you may have said yes to simply in the moment of saying yes.

however, let’s say that yes means, to stay

and in staying with yes,

here is your instruction

you will arrive at KNULP, a small artist run gallery

in KNULP is the group exhibition BLIND curated by Shane Haseman also featuring the works by Megan Hanson, Anna Kristensen, Del Lumanta and Robert Pulie.

there will be an invigilator, and may be one or two visitors inside the room, but otherwise passersby on the wintry street on the way of their weekend.

paper waits is a pile of A1 sheets of white paper, held flat by the floor, the length side lain flushed against the skirting of wall.

should you arrive, choose a sheet of paper, and may be do this…

or anywhere else against any section of wall or glass, maybe simply standing on the pile.

bring anything with you to while your stay – maybe a friend to also weight with you, a conversation for the invigilator, a book, a podcast, a list of songs…

thanks very much.
